It started with a soft rustle as an egg shifted. It started with the slightest crack. It started without warning.
But it was a enough for Tyranith to lift her head. No. These were not her eggs. But she was mothering them for now. And it was finally time. She moved to a sitting position and roared at the top of her lungs. Come now to the Sands Candidates! Be late at your own risk! They hatch! They hatch now!
The first egg shifted and fell into a second. It was the blue and gold colors of the The One that Got Away that shattered first into a... cerulean blue with pale blue dragonet. He shook himself off and spread his wings. The egg goo was sticky and uncomfortable. And gross, but he didn't give any other indication.
Hurry up!!!! The aggravated dragoness gave a croon to the little blue. She wasn't much of a mother.... but she had some instinct at least. Even if these weren't here eggs.
The egg that the blue's had knocked into was the Try Try Again which broke to reveal a green. A rather small green at that. He was small... but he was definitely well muscled. His, wings however, were positively HUGE. They dragged on the ground as he walked, leaving trails in the sands behind him. Her shook himself off, forcing his wings to spread. It was difficult, though. It was hard.
The blue looked at the green. Now what should he do. Hmm... He should find His. He would look for him.
The green sat down, his wings held up slightly as not to sit on them. His eyes were steady, slowly swirling. He was... something.... something so... unfeeling over all.

Rikula was a little ball of constant stress lately. Her entire day was filled with; lesson, cutting across the Hatching Sands' stands to check on the eggs, eating, more lessons, chores, once again checking on the eggs....the candidate was getting a sharding headache! Gritting her teeth, Riku dropped the plate none to gently on top of its pile and hissed as the sharp sound of it clattering broke through the air. "Sorry..." She looked at the drudge nearby who was in charge of her at the moment, casting her eyes to the ground. She just wished those dragons would stop their blasted humming already!
...humming? Riku stood still for a moment, closing her eyes and centering herself on only that distant sound. "Oh, you've got to be kidding me." She felt like throwing up, the only time she could ever remember feeling like that. Running out the door without so much a glance at the drudge, she wound around corners as fast as her legs could take her until she got to her room. It was around now that Tyranith's voice entered her head for the second time. She had barely registered the first since it had happened mid-way on her journey to her room, but the second was a desparate call.
What was sharding going on there?!? Hurrying out of her clothes, Riku pulled on the white candidate's robe and sandals, shifting the fabric around until it finally layed in its proper place. "There." She pulled her hair around, thankful she had braided it that morning, and ran to the boy's side of the barracks. Riku didn't even care if she was seen here, she was getting Kikunae, and that was that. The boy hadn't talked to her since the flit hatching, but he was going to face her now whether he liked it or not! "Kikunae!"
She shouted as she spotted his dark head among the boys heading her way. He looked up at her, eyes widened in disbelief. Catching his arms as he came by, Riku pulled him off to the side. "You listen to me now okay? If we don't impress, we're getting as far as we can away from here." Kikunae shook his head furiously, but Rikula stopped him. "We don't know how much time we have left little brother." She pleaded with him, wanting nothing more but to protect him. He finally gave in and nodded slowly, his eyes glazing over as he held back tears.
"Good, come on. There's still a chance for you kid." Ruffling his hair, then fixing it, Rikula ran with him to the sands. Once there though, they gave each other a brief hug before going to Tyranith. "We are here to meet your children Tyranith." Kikunae was the first to speak, and Riku looked at him oddly. Hers? Seeing the confusion in his sister's eyes, the boy looked to the Queen. "Yes, of course they are hers. Even though they were not birthed by Tyranith, they still are hers. She's the one guarding them like a true Queen." He bowed again, taking his leave and going to the boy's side.
Well then, he certainly knew how to flatter a lady when he wanted to. Rikula shook herself mentally to wake her out of her thoughts. Looking at Tyranith, she took a steadying herself by breathing, she looked up at the Queen again. "As my brother has stated, thank you for the honor my Queen. If one of these dragonets sees me fit, I will be grateful to serve you as a rider here." She really did mean it too she realized walking toward the girl's side of the sands. Looking at the eggs, she caught the familiar one she had spent so much time with. Do you still think that I am the one for you?
Looking up into the stands, Rikula sighed in relief...but the sound was too quick for real joy. A hauntingly familiar form was among those gathering, and the man smiled down at her with a sinister gaze. No...oh Faranth no! Trying to catch Kikunae's gaze, Riku bit her lip. Her brother couldn't see him from where he was...he wasn't even paying attention to her to take a signal. Stay calm...hatching first...you impress, you're free....he impresses, he's free. Simple. She hoped.

Oswin tried to stay calm as he pulled on his white robe and headed to the Hatching Grounds. He was not by nature an anxious person, but he couldn't deny the raw nerves coursing through him. His heart was pounding and he felt like he might be sick. Taking a deep breath, he stepped onto the sands.
Two eggs had hatched already, and there was a blue and an odd long-winged green on the sand. Oswin's eyes immediately went to the Riddle Egg, remembering the affirmation he had received from it the day of the Touching. Did it still want him? Nothing was certain in a Hatching, and that was the worst part.

He had found his before. Now where was His. Where...? he crooned softly. Hmm... He knew he was here. He knew he was here somewhere. Or maybe it was a her...? The green continued to moving from side to side steadily. He wasn't going to think too much about it right now. He just would have to wander around and look, he supposed. Behind him he heard another egg crack and he looked back. Oh... so the little fearful and lonely one was going to join them now...? He watched the red egg shake and tremble. It was almost time... already its shell was starting to fall apart... And that was when it happened. It fell to pieces around the little green inside, her eyes whirling red. A shard of her egg was stuck to her in an uncomfortable spot near a join and she squeaked, jumping back and attempting to get away from it. It was sharp and itchy against her tender hide. She looked back just in time to catch the All That We Leave Behind egg split to reveal another, very large green. She shook out her wings, irritated and upset. She hissed and threw her head. How dare they not pay her the proper attention. That little green! She hissed and lunged at the other green. The other green squeaked again and hunkered down for a moment before taking off in a swift run as the larger green chased her. NO! GO Away! Go Away!!! PLEASE! PLEASE PLEASE?! She ran straight into the midst of the male Candidates, bumping into Kikunae... and looking back in time to see that her blue brother had decided enough was enough adn was standing in front of her hissing and stopping her in her tracks. Oh! Oh! K'naeMine! Did you see my terrible sister!? She chased me and hissed at me and... and... Oh why doesn't she like me? Am I really so bad...? Why was I exiled from my siblings...? It was so SCARYThe green whimpered and nuzzled her K'nae lovingly. ..::Green Moriith::....::Our Fear Is Very Real::.. ..::Impresses to: Kikunae (K'nae)::.. Name: Moriith Type: Dragon Age: Hatchling Color: Green Gender: Female Hex Codes: 152408, 61a524, and 78ff00 Size in Feet: 48 feet
Apperance:A great green with a lot of stamina, Moriith is a wonderfully built female of beautiful colors. She has some brindling and speckling patterns to the changes in her hide. She is relatively small all things considered. Personality:She often becomes lonely or even afraid. She can't stand to be alone and she certainly can't stand to see anyone hurt. She is easily hurt and easily embarrassed. She needs someone to look after her and she knows it.

Zion knew the eggs were hatching before Tyranith even roared out to the Candidates. He could hear her thoughts, after all. Her great roar, however, was what spurned him into action.
Leaping off of his bed, he hastily pulled on his white Candidate's robe and slid his feet into the thin sandals he was required to wear. He had been through this so many times... would today finally be the day he Impressed a dragon of his own?
Reaching the Hatching Sands (not late, thank you!), Zion arranged himself with the other male Candidates, watching the eggs as they shook and cracked.
The first egg to hatch was a little blue. The egg had fallen into a second and shattered to reveal the blue.
The egg that the first egg had fallen into was the egg that Zion had recieved confirmation from at the Touching... and as the egg broke to reveal a green, Zion felt his throat catch. If he did Impress, was he meant to Impress a green? But... no... there was something...
It was male!
Zion's eyes widened. There had never been a male green before! What was this?! His heart quickened. The green was small, but his wings were overly-large and dragged in the sand, leaving long trails as he moved across the sands to sit down.
How could that be? A male green?! Zion was sure his heart-beat could be heard all the way in the stands as his eyes remained trained on that little green, his attention entirely focused there. He didn't even notice the blue.
As another egg cracked open to reveal another green, his attention was momentarily diverted. And then another green! Zion's head was whirling. Wasn't this an engineered clutch? Shouldn't there be less green and more... bronze? Or at least brown? Not that he would mind Impressing a green (he just wanted to Impress, shard it!) but still.
As the larger green hissed and the fearful green came careening toward the male Candidates, Zion hoped... but the green went to Kikunae... K'nae... and the first Impression of the Hatching was made. Zion watched the large green for a moment more before turning his attention back to the male green, hoping that his angry sister would not try to attack him.

The large green turned to her green brother with a hiss, but he did not so much as flinch or look in her direction. His tail twitched against the ground, and there was a faint sense of bemusement. Oh how silly. She seemed about ready to charge him again, but... his lack of response turned her off. She really just did it to get something out of her victims.... At least right now. He watched her out of the corner of his eye as he turned towards the male Candidates. Oh. That was his, huh? Interesting boy he was. He had picked well... Now then... He flared his wings and took a step in the boys direction. No hurry. No worry, complete calm. Complete control. But that was him. That was how he was. He gave a soft hiss as his green sister seemed headed toward the male Candidates, fangs bared. She would not dare hurt His! That was the most unforgivable thing there was! But she turned away and headed towards the females. She jumped into their midst, grabbing hold of one of the females and mauling her. Oh! This was wonderful! The blood! Her eyes flashed red as she turned towards Rikula with a hiss. Oh she was next.... Maybe she would be right. Maybe her blood would be better. He snorted at his sister. His was more interesting than her. But... Mother was getting angry. Mother was not liking that this green saw fit to attack candidates. He could tell. The gold's tail was twitching more and more and her lips drew back in a snarl. Tyranith was upset. She had scared them... but she hadn't mauled any. Who did this green think she was? Well.... Z'on mine. Looks like my sister is at it again. His voice was deep and masculine. He shuffled his wings uncomfortably. My wings are annoyingly large, Mine. Also. Let's clean me. This goo makes it worse...::Green Bayath::....::Try Try Again::.. ..::Impresses to: Zion (Z'on)::.. Name: Bayath Type: Dragon Age: Hatchling Color: Green Gender: Male Hex Codes: 243d0f, 3c6b14, 6f9d3f, and 334324 Size in Feet: 48 feet
Apperance:His wings look like shadows from trees while his darker hide is something out of nature itself to say the least. He is beautifully well formed, tall and lithe with incredibly strong, though wiry muscles. He is going to be a very fast and nimble flyer, without a doubt. Personality:Well... Bayath isn't exactly... the most fun dragon to be around. He is too calm, almost to the point of being unfeeling and uncaring. He is so calm and so restrained about all his thoughts and his actions. He will often get irritated with his Z'on, but usually he'll blow it off and tell him to just go ahead and get in trouble. He could care less as long as it doesn't hurt him.

Kikunae was so focused on his egg that he barely saw the green and blue already hatched. He didn't care about them right now, he just wanted the red egg to burst from its shell and show him who was to be his partner. The boy rocked on his heels, oblivious to the fact that his sister was trying to get his attention. No, his eyes were glued to the egg far from its clutch as it began to rock and crack.
Come on....just a little more, you can do it.
He smiled as a little green slipped from her shell, then laughed softly when she jumped at the shard that was still there. He'd gladly take it off of her if she only would come over. Kikunae was just that sure that he would impress to the dragonet that came from his egg. The candidate was even tempted to move forward to go to her, but before he could make up his mind, the other egg hatched.
It was yet another green, and as soon as she hissed and ran after his dragonet, Kikunae gave a little yelp. "No!" He watched horrified as the smaller green keened and ran from her older sister. Shaking his head, Kikunae couldn't believe what he was seeing. Then she took a turn to the boy candidates, and practically ran him over. Nuzzling him gently, Kikunae widened his eyes then smiled knowingly. Oh! Oh! K'naeMine! Did you see my terrible sister!? She chased me and hissed at me and... and... Oh why doesn't she like me? Am I really so bad...? Why was I exiled from my siblings...? It was so SCARY.
Kikunae couldn't help but fall to his knees and hold onto the green's neck. "Moriith, my Moriith. Don't worry, she can't hurt you now." The dragonet crooned and sighed in relief, her eyes dieing down from their rainbow gleam to a gentle blue green mixed with a single streak of yellow. Oh no! K'naeMine, she's going after...oh Mine..I don't know what to do!
Jerking his head, Kikunae started to run over, but then remembered his dragonet. "Moriith...I....I dont' know what to do." She shook her head, her wings drooping by her side. I don't know either Mine. I'm hungry though, and maybe Hers will save her. Kikunae watched torn between duty to his dragonet, and love for his sister. What can I do?
Rikula was keeping a steady eye on the stands. If he so much as moved.... Then something happened that made her look over at her brother and sigh the hugest sound of relief she ever had made. He's free! Thank Faranth, he's free. She watched her brother fall and put his arms around his green, and Riku found herself smiling uncontrolably. That was before her sister stalked to the girl candidates and mauled a nearby girl though.
Staring, Riku found a shiver forming down her spine. Then the green looked at her and hissed as she moved forward. Instantly, Rikula tensed, her instincts for hunting coming to the surface. She was no match against a dragonet without a weapon, but if the green tried anything, she wouldn't hesitate. "Don't you sharding dare! Not this girl, go maul someone else!" She snapped her eyes to the green's, ready to move as soon as she needed to. One briefest glance to her brother showed him stop as his green ran after him keening. Good, keep him over there.

Oswin watched the hatchlings intently. At first, it seemed like everything was going smoothly, but then that big green hatched and started terrorizing everyone. Then there was a smaller green running straight for the male candidates, and Oswin jumped out of the way, fearing a mauling. Instead, the little green Impressed to Kikunae. Oswin let out a sigh of relief. At least that was one happy Impression down.
The blue tried to stand up to his sister, but she seemed uninterested in him. Oswin wondered why the Blue wasn't Impressing. Maybe his rider wasn't here yet. For that matter, maybe the Green's bonded wasn't either. Whoever he or she was needed to get here soon so the Green would stop causing trouble.
Oswin gasped, his eyes wide in terror, as the Green ran at the females and grabbed one of them. The girl was a bloody mess in seconds. He gave a shudder of disgust, his stomach churning at the gore. He had gone from simply nervous to terrified now, and he wondered how smart it was to even stay on the sands now. But...he had to wait for the Riddle.
The Green turned to Riku next, hissing. Maybe she was going to Impress? But no, she was just threatening. Oswin barely knew Riku, but she had seemed like a decent person when he met her in the woods. And he couldn't bear the thought of witnessing another mauling.
"Hey!" he called across the sands. "Leave her alone!" He was just trying to create a distraction, and he spoke without thinking. Something he didn't do often, and was he going to pay the price for it now?

Zora had heard that the eggs we're starting to hatch and quickly grabbed her white robe. When the white robe was tied around her waist and quickly ran down to the hatching grounds. She saw that two green dragons had hatched and had chosen their riders. The young girl hoped that she hadn't missed her chance to impress because she wanted to be chosen. While she waited at the edge of the group of candidates assembling and looked over at the eggs there we're only so many left.
It was no doubt in her mind that some of the dragones we're bronzes who of course chose a boy. She had her eye own the remaining eggs and put her thoughts on warm welcoming. The young girl was by far the youngest candidate there at least in the girls and hoped that this didn't put her at a disadvantage. It was no doubt that the leaders wanted older candidates because they would be able to fight thread soon. She would have to wait a few turns till she reached sixteen to actually be able to fight thread.

As Oswin yelled at her, the large green turned with a snarl. Who DARED to interrupt her? SHE ruled these sands! She could do WHATEVER she deemed fit! She hissed and turned, charging towards him, ready and intent on taking at least his hand. She reached out a claw to rake into his stomach and knock him over, hissing irritably, her tail swishing back and forth. Her eyes swirled red... but also a faint blue of pleasure. Oh yes! More blood! More! But she stopped and looked back with a hiss as she heard a crack from three eggs at once. The Riddle, Ghosts of Tomorrow, and the Lessons We Learn eggs all started to hatch at once... but it was only the Riddle that revealed itself entirely. A bronze stepped out onto the sands, his eyes whirling red with agitation. He shook his wings out and took in the seen before him. He knew who it was that he would Impress to. The green snorted. Just a silly bronze. She turned back to the boy, ready to sink her teeth into him. Oh no! She did not! The bronze hissed and twitched his tail angrily. You NEVER touch mine! The Bronze ran right over to the green, not caring if he harmed others in the process. He raced past his blue brother who watched, still looking for His at this point. He was starting to get agitated. Oh, but the real action was where the Bronze was as he ran straight into the green, barreling her over and biting into her leg. He hissed, ready to kill her for hurting His... He sunk his teeth into her again and she fought back violently. He felt it as she cut into his own hide and felt satisfaction as he tore into hers... They were leaving ichor across the sands. The blue was displeased. This wasn't right. But what could he do? Eventually... the green lay, not moving... though she was still....very much alive... But the bronze was satisfied that she had yielded and turned back. He would have scars on his chest, his stomach, his neck, his muzzle and his front legs. There was no way around that... but he walked with a certain dignity and pride... and an ever present curiosity which was apparent in every distraction he encountered. O'winMine. Your Bayjeeth hopes you are alright. Why do you suppose some are born that way? But then again, is that like asking why I exist? Why was I raised by a gold who is not my mother? Why was I needed? I suppose to protect you...::Bronze Bayjeeth::....::The Riddle::.. ] ..::Impresses to: Oswin (O'win)::.. Name: Bayjeeth Type: Dragon Age: Hatchling Color: Bronze Gender: Male Hex Codes: a28671, ded8b6, and af9160 Size in Feet: 75'3"
Apperance:Bayjeeth is a heavily built bronze, meant more for strength and stamina than for speed and agility. His balance between the two.... well... he has none. His hid is highly metallic, rivaling even that of a gold. His tail is longer than most dragons and may cause him to trip until he really grows up. Personality:Just like he was in his egg, he is insatiably curious, now and forever. He will want to learn. He will want to discover. Discovery and learning will make him wise in time. But the universe is boundless. He will not stop from assaulting anyone, including his own with questions. He has absolutely no sense of shame when it comes to questions. Awkward or not, they will be asked. He has a fascination with stars and wind patterns and loves to experiment with the affects of air currents on his wings and his flying. This could be his best advantage in flight. He firmly believes the meaning of his life is to protect his O'win.

Riku jerked her head as she heard a male voice that was familiar. It was that kid from the woods Oswin. She tried to get him to leave the green alone, really she could handle this herself, but it was too late. She watched as the green darted toward at him. Every rake of her claws made her wince until even her eyes held a few startings of teardrops. She refused to cry though. Maybe she could help him...maybe....
Then more eggs hatched and a bronze of all things ran out to attack his sister. When Riku saw the rainbows in his eyes she understood. Good for him to impress to a King! But wait! The two dragonets were fighting now and Riku stared frozen as they took turns harming each other. Finally they broke apart and the king went to Oswin. Sighing in relief, Rikula closed her eyes and slowed her breathing. He was safe. She smiled slightly, nodding and mouthing a thank you to the newest bronze rider before turning back to the eggs.
She never let her eyes leave the stands for long though. Nor did she entirely take her eyes off of the green.
K'nae cried out when the green started attacking the boy that had stood up for his older sister. Moriith had to tug on the weyrling's robes to keep him back, her keening reminding him he had a duty to her now. Besides, soon enough the attacked boy was being championed by none other than a bronze. Nudging Hers away from the sands and to the food, Moriith crooned a thankful sound to her metallic sibling. K'nae reached over to help the boy up, tears in his eyes. "Thank you for saving my sister."

Zora watched with baited breath as another egg hatched and she hoped that it would be her life mate. When got a closer look at it the young girl was disappointed to see that it was a bronze dragon that would mean nothing to her. It was a true fact that bronze dragons never impressed to girls and she watched him impress a young boy. While she was happy for him the girl hoped that her lifemate still remained in the group. A few glances over the remaining eggs showed that they had started to hatch.
She saw that the bronze had marks on it from the green dragonets and knew that the hatchlings would do anything to get to to their chosen. The girl had heard stories of hatchlings mauling candidates and other dragonets to the point of death. Zora didn't worry about this fact though because a few scratches we're worth it to impress a dragon. "Come on you've got to be out there somewhere," said Zora as she looked around at the remaining eggs with each impression her chances we're lessened. Her fear of having to return home and marry some holder boy scared her greatly.

It was the day she’d otherwise been waiting for; it would be the day that truly started her life. Once she had a beast by her side, one that could assume power, she would no longer have to take anything from anyone. She was young, and people that weren’t aware of her true nature underestimated. No matter, once they met her they would never underestimate her again. And once they met her beast, her dragon, they would have to treat her as an equal. More than, she snorted, tugging at her white candidate robes as she made her way down the corridor. The minute that the senior gold’s voice had come into her head, she’d awoken, fully awake, and prepared to be on the hatching sands in record-time. No one was going to keep her from getting onto the sands, no one. Anyone that did would regret it, that much she could promise. She eyed the candidate’s that strode past her, not bothering to so much as glance at the ones behind her. The ones that kept speed with her had more ambition, she was sure. They weren’t worthy, but they still had more ambition. She smirked at the thought, continuing to eye them for a moment before moving on. Her gaze was unnerving, like always.
Coming out onto the sands, there were ones going up to greet the gold and her rider. She followed them, but not because it was the right thing to do, but rather she had to keep up appearances. She gave a sickly sweet smile when it was her turn, and bowed low, her small, short, form making her seem not at all threatening. ”Thank you for the honour of getting to stand,” she said, a tone to her voice that really made her words an uncertainty. Nevertheless, she said her few words, and was off to stand with the rest of the girls. She kept her gaze glued to the largest eggs. The larger the better, it meant that she’d have more of a chance. Her and her dragon would better thrive...
She couldn’t quite keep the smirk off of her face as a couple of the eggs rocked, and then broke open. It revealed two greens, but something about the one green had her hazel eyes glued to it. ”It’s not a girl,” she realized, simply by the build alone and the way it carried itself.
When it impressed to a boy, she was positive of her discovery. Yet another green hatched, but again something was different about this one. It was something she liked. Really, really liked, for love was not a word she often if ever used. No-she never used it. It was vicious, vicious and bloodthirsty. It was bent on terrifying its green clutchsibling! All Tikra could do was chuckle to herself, the thirteen-turns-old girl soon crossing her arms over her chest. Then the green, which was not to her satisfaction, thankfully impressed to a girl not her. The girl wasn’t even near her, in fact. Of course that thing wouldn’t even consider me, she thought to herself haughtily. Waste of a creature, greens and blues and the like, she mentally snarled.
She kept on watching, hoping that the larger eggs would hatch. Then another green spilled onto the sands, and there was a blue roaming about also. My, did they ever hatch quickly. In any case, the green was soon going after candidates. Oh, this was fun! She was small, and therefore harder to see, no doubt, not that she was afraid. Even as her heart pounded in her chest, she told herself she was not afraid. She didn’t move from her spot on the sands, even when she was sure she may be turned on. One of the larger eggs rocked, and cracked, and her head snapped in the direction of it. She fluffed up her long hair with a quick movement of her right hand whilst watching a bronze escape from its shell. If only she could impress such a creature...
The green and bronze set to fighting, and she watched with wide, intrigued, eyes. Yes... this was glorious! But then the green gave up to the more powerful dragonet and she rolled her eyes. As much as she’d liked the spirited green, it was losing her favour with its loss. The bronze went off and impressed to a boy, not that she cared. She suspected as much. It’s all bronzes ever did, and then they grew to blindly follow gold’s. How boring. She heaved a sigh, her gaze flicking over the green, whom had most definitely sustained injuries from that battle. Get up! she shouted in her head, don’t be such a weak vessel. Her thoughts were sent out powerfully, and the young creature earned her glare.

The green got up with a low hiss, staggering as she bled. She would not be beaten! Over there was a mind akin to hers. Over there she would find what she was looking for. She walked, her steps unstable as she approached Tikra, hissing. But it was the Ghosts of Tomorrow egg that had hatched without noticing, revealing a large brown who shook himself then headed right after the green, pouncing on her back even as she stood in front of Tikra, tearing into her... until she was forced to flee to Between to get away from all this. She just couldn't take anymore!
The brown crooned in pleasure and stared at Tikra with whirling red eyes. This was his. And His had not touched his egg. His would have to be punished for that. His would have to be harmed at his own claws. He pounced on her. With a hiss, though his eyes swirled rainbows. Oh you are such an amazingly bad girl TikraMyDarling. You will be a wonderful servant for your Norayath. He bit into her shoulder. But you simply must be punished for your insolence in not touching my egg on the day of the touching! Oh your foolish girl!
His tail twitched in irritation, his hiss feral again. His eyes went from whirling rainbows to red again. You shall feed me. Now.
..::Brown Norayath::....::Ghosts of Tomorrow::.. ..::Impresses to: Tikra::.. Name: Norayath Type: Dragon Age: Hatchling Color: Brown Gender: Male Hex Codes: a27d55, ad967e, and 3f3936 Size in Feet: 68 feet
Apperance:A relatively large brown, Norayath is built strong and sturdy. He is a bit on teh stocky side, but his strong, large wings will afford him great capabilities in flight, however, he is not particularly quick. His stamina is great. His light brown hide with lighter and darker brindle markings make him a striking site. Personality:Norayath is a steady dragon. He is level headed and in control. He has a particular dislike for fast, sudden movements and an incredible temper. he will draw back and hiss quite quickly. He does not find relationships other tan with his to be important. He is controlling and will always want to be the one in charge of his rider. He will cause her injury if needed.
The Brown looked back briefly to the clutch as the blue, his blue brother, approached a male Candidate. Syrevek. There he was. Well. It was worth the wait, it would seem. Well, S'vekMine. Seems your Golliath took just a bit too long to get here. You are quite Impressive, though. Hmmm... He sat in front of him very calmly, looking very strong and important there at His' side.
..::Blue Golliath::....::The One that Got Away::.. ..::Impresses to: Syrevek (S'vek)::.. Name: Golliath Type: Dragon Age: Hatchling Color: Blue Gender: Male Hex Codes: 00a7f6, c2fefd, and 0b3dda Size in Feet: 52 feet
Apperance:Golliath is a lithe and particularly beautiful blue. His hide glistens in the sun with different colors. His wings are average size, but the muscles of them are well defined and strong. Personality:He is stable and strong in personality. He is very kind and sweet... and a night in shining armor. His mission in life is to look out for those weaker than him. Including his own. However... Nothing truly upsets him. He can go through situations completely unriled. He will, even though he is blue, make a wonderful leader some day.
However... another dragonet had appeared on the sands. Shew as nearly white with black and gray markings. She was something.... that had never been see before. She was large, beautiful... and had an air of wisdom. She sat and cleaned herself of as much egg goo as she could before turning towards the Candidates.
There was an intake of breath. Nothing like this had been seen before. In the stands, one man, a rider, stood and started shouting. It was M'nao. the so called Weyrleader of this Weyr. "Your sharding researches! What have you done to our dragons!"
The little female snorted. Foolish man. He didn't know anything about the world. Now then. There was someone waiting for her. Waiting for her guidance and protection.
Zora. Come here right now. Your Doriath demands you come to her for inspection then take her off these sands. You are young and you need her guidance. I will lead and you will follow. Simple as that. But, of course, the mother who watched us will have our loyalty as well. Do not disobey me or her, Zora. Now.... what to teach your first...?
The rather interesting dragonet had quite the big head, didn't she...?
..::Grayscale Doriath::....::The Lessons We Learn::.. ..::Impresses to: Zora::.. Name: Doriath Type: Dragon Age: Hatchling Color: Grayscale (Sub-Queen *explanation to go up shortly under dragon colors*) Gender: Female Hex Codes: fcfcfb, bfbfbf, 646464, and 252525 Size in Feet: 72 feet
Apperance:Mostly a near white with deep gray and black accents, Doriath is a lovely grayscale female of sleek, lithe proportions. She has long, spindly limbs and long, broad wings. Her muscles are not well defined, but she is definitely strong. Personality:Doriath is highly intelligent. She has a memory which stretches back several turns longer than most. She is very wise, protective and a teacher at heart. She will always be protective of Zora and she will always be the dragoness you can depend on. She is very, pardon the pun, black and white with little room for things that are not simply right or wrong in her world. She thinks she is a lot more wise to the ways of the world than she really is. Her intelligence may be high, but she is almost always terribly biased. She is proud, controlling and demanding, but has an uncanny respect for the chain of command.
It seemed that the hatching of this strange colored dragonet triggered the last two and the eggs of the clutch to hatch. The first to make his way out of his shell was the dragonet of the All's Well that Ends Well. This dragonet was pitch black with an extremely glossy hide which seemed to shine like onyx in the light. His markings of white and grays were well placed... but he did not move as he waited for the egg beside him.
The Climax of Our Story split open into two halves to reveal none other than a dragonet of multiple gold hues... Some more green, more orange, more of a... pale color. She looked at her brother. He was HUGE compared to even the gold. But he looked at her with a soft croon. And she looked at him, not sure what to do. He was strange.
He stood before her and headed down to the girl he had picked out before he had ever hatched. Hmph. He was even better than that gold. His pride was getting ahead of him. He was so ready to be off these sands and see the world that was his. He walked right up to Kalesa and looked at her with determination. He ignored the exclamations, the fingers, the outrage. Even as that MAN decided to try to come down to the sands.
KalesaMine. I am your Vanath. It's time to take the world by storm. Let's go.
..::Grayscale Vanath::....::All's Well that Ends Well::.. ..::Impresses to: Kalesa::.. Name: Vanath Type: Dragon Age: Hatchling Color: Grayscale Gender: Male Hex Codes: 141414, 111111, ffffff, and 555555 Size in Feet: 89 feet
Apperance:Possibly the largest dragon seen on Pern in generations, or at least he will be, Vanath is big, burly and muscular. He will definitely be a stamina flyer. His wings are broad and long enough, but not overly long. He will not be teh fastest, but he will be strong and he will definitely be a force to contend with. Vanath is a almost prue black with some gray and white markings on his nose, neck, and wings. His tail is entirely white while his feet are entirely a deep gray. Personality:Vanath is a prideful boy, that's for sure. He expects only the best from everyone, especially his. He and Kalesa will be a terror together in a sense. He has great leadership potential if he can learn to deflate his head enough to use it. He knows he is royalty and he believes he is even more special than he is. He tends to believe that everyone should want hi madn anyone who doesn't, well... there is something wrong with them.
The little gold stood there, looking a bit worried. She felt... insecure... But it was only her that kept things calm right now. So many eyes were on her. Even those of the large female gold behind her who put her head down and gently nudged her. Go little one.
The gold looked at her and seemed to give a sigh before going towards the female candidates. Oh... where was hers. They were all so hurt. Oh... was Hers okay... Hers had to be okay... She keened softly and stepped towards where Hers was. Oh... oh she was unhurt! Thank Faranth!
Oh RikulaMine! I was so scared you were hurt! So many are! Oh Rikula! We need to look after your brother and my siblings! Please... Let's take your Majoriith off these sands.
..::Gold Majoriith::....::The Climax of Our Story Egg::.. ..::Impresses to: Rikula::.. Name: Majoriith Type: Dragon Age: Hatchling Color: Gold Gender: Female Hex Codes: b8ac38, e3dd7e, b07e0a, 898230, 977b16, and eeef7b Size in Feet: 82 feet
Apperance:Primarily a rather fade bronze-gold with lighter yellow-gold and an orange gold color with flecks of green gold on her wings, Majoriith actually has a very calming affect for those who look at her. Her face marking is a bit interesting and somewhat like a mask, which she often wishes she can wear. She is a rather blocky and solidly built gold, though her limbs are long and graceful. Her wings are long, but look rather dainty as the bones are thin, well formed, and light. She has a lot of muscle and strength packed into her body which will give her great stamina in flight. Personality:Majoriith doesn't have the typical authority of a queen. she lets herself be pushed around by others. She will need to learn from Rikula if she is ever to be a real queen. She is so sweet and motherly and wants to take care of everyone. However, she will stretch herself thin in doing so. Majoriith is timid, very very timid. Except in one case. When it comes to protecting her Weyr, her bonded, and those she loves. She loves to play and have fun, but being quiet and dignified is going to be a problem for her. She would much rather be able to run around and play and go outside of the Weyr and explore. She adores flitters and enjoys watching their antics. She desires to be brave and daring and to be a true warrior queen... and she will attempt, though she most often fails as it is not in her nature.
Tyranith hissed as M'nao came down onto the sands and headed towards the feeding tables. Leave them alone! Touch them and I will tear you to shreds! You foolish man!

Riku watched with a sickening horror as the green went for another girl then was mauled to between by a brown who impressed to that same girl. She was young, and Rikula hoped to Faranth that she could handle the brown, but somehow she knew she'd do just fine. Sighing a breath of relief now that the dangerous dragonets were off the sands in some way or another, Riku watched her brother leave with his green. A half-smile crossed her lips as a single tear escaped her steal-like grip over her emotions.
The candidate wiped it away as quickly as it had appeared, looking around "casually" to see if anyone was watching. The rest of the eggs were hatching though, so she doubted it. Should I even hope to impress...what about that egg though...no, everyone thinks its a Queen egg. Surely she made a mistake. Rikula bit her lip, half way frustrated at herself, the other part frustrated at the circumstances. Above in the stands, she could see her uncle craning his neck to watch Kikunae leave with his green as well. You can't sharding have him anymore! She wanted to yell at the man for what he had done to her family. He wasn't about to take her little brother away too.
Riku's thoughts broke off quickly as a quiet noise swept across the audience and candidates. New colors? She turned her head to see the silvery white and black female impress to another young girl. Okay, did not expect that...but didn't they see that black and silver flit? She tracked the movement of the rider that had spoken as he started to climb down, but another egg cracked loudly eliciting yet another shout from the Weyr. Another one? This one was more like the flit though. Riku chewed on the inside of her cheek, trying to understand just what was going on.
Then she didn't think anymore. The egg that had bonded with her during the touching hatched quickly revealing a Gold that was more than a little shy. The black and gray male crooned to her though before impressing, and she watched the crowd with wide terrified eyes. Rikula actually felt bad for the Queenlet, and found herself taking a small step forward before remembering her place. She was a candidate.....besides, it couldn't want her....it just...couldn't. Tyranith reached down to nudge her newest sister, crooning as well to the fearful Queenlet.
Making a little noise, she finally moved forward and started to look at the girls. Finally, she stopped....
Oh RikulaMine! I was so scared you were hurt! So many are! Oh Rikula! We need to look after your brother and my siblings! Please... Let's take your Majoriith off these sands.
Rikula's eyes widened as her mind was flooded with that of another. How strong and beautiful she was. How talented, how wonderful. The Gold looked up at her with swirling rainbow eyes, and Riku faught against the need to go to her and lock her arms around the metallic neck. "How...there....but." She sputtered trying to find words. "You've got to be kidding me! You mean that sharding blue was right?!?" Her jaw dropped and she snapped her eyes up to the stands when she heard a chortling laughter. Oh, that rider's going to hear an earful from me.
Do you not want me RikulaMine? Is your Majoriith not good enough? I wouldn't be surprised...I'm sorry I wasn't what you wanted, but you were everything that I needed. Please, love your Majoriith?
Rikula shook her head, not able to deny the Queenlet anything. "No...I'm sorry Majoriith, I'm being selfish and stupid. Of course I love you. You're...you're perfect." She smiled at the dragonet, going forward and bending over to pet the head lightly. Then it was as if she couldn't hold herself back and she dropped to her knees, coddling the gold in her arms as much as she could. Finally, Riku looked up and blushed, embaressed that she had shown such emotion in front of the entire Weyr. Our Weyr...
Majoriith didn't seem too thrilled about that though, and the gold shivered in Riku's arms. "Come on...your a Queen Majoriith. Let's go to get you fed. No sneaking over, walk with your head held high....we'll have plenty of time to mourn our lost freedom later." She sighed as she said the words, and realized that Majoriith felt much the same as she did. Leading the dragonet with one steady hand, Rikula balled the other into a fist and tried her best not to run in the opposite direction of the waiting weyrlings and riders.
She was here for her dragonet....and what if I don't want to be here? Rikula laughed as she listened to Majoriith's words. "Well....we get you fed and then we find the darkest corner to run into." Somehow, she had the feeling her dragonet was perfectly fine with that plan.
